Freestyle Skiing for Sat Mar 06, 2010 In the Moguls the competitors are challenged by a steep (23-32 degrees) 200-270 metre long bump-covered course. Scores are based on technical turning ability and strong, aggressive fall line skiing. Two spontaneous upright jumps must be performed during each run with minimal interruption to the line of the run or to the rhythm of the turns. Big Air will take place on a terrain park jump with two take off options so riders have to clear a distance of either 25 or 40/50 feet. Scores are based on the amount of air time the skier achieves, difficulty of trick performed over the jump, style in which the trick was executed, proper landing. The best jump of two will be used for ranking purposes. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
