The Print User Summary link will bring a page up for the profile that is more suitable for printing, without the graphical layout around it.
Send Welcome Email
When this link is clicked, the system will send a basic email message letting the user know their username and password to login to the system.
Update Groups
This section allows you to quickly select which groups the user is part of.
Members Section
The Members tab provides access to the list of participants or volunteers that have registered. It incorporates a variety of tools to manage this list. When you first enter the Member tab, you will be presented with the master user list, search options, and a variety of actions under the "Actions" tab.
Searching
The search box at the top of the members page gives access to a simple and advanced search feature that allows you to quickly find groups of partipants based on various fields of data stored within the system. These fields are customized on a games by games basis based on the sports involved and the requirements of the individual commitees. To arranage to have different fields available for searching, contact your Sport Alliance representative. The columns that appear in the search results are likewise customizable.
Each set of search results will show a set of check boxes and a "Selections" area. Selections allow you to select a subset of the result and then perform various actions on them. Most of the actions under the "Actions" drop down button support these selections.
For example, you can search by sport, and then use the check boxes to select several people from the resulting list. These selected people can then by editing, exported, etc, by using the links under the actions tab.
Searches are combined together using an "AND" filter - so searching for Sport = Badminton and Type = Coach would result in all of the Badminton Coaches being returned, for example.
Available Actions
Delete Selected Users
This action will permanently remove the users selected via the selection tools from the system. There is no undo for this action.
Batch Edit
The Batch Edit feature will allow you to update fields across selected users. This is useful when you need to do large scale assignments of various fields. For example, you can assign 20 seleted users to a specific venue at once, rather than having to edit them individually. The fields that are available within this area are completely customizable. Ask your Sport Alliance rep if you would like fields added or removed from this area.
Export Users to CSV
This feature will create a Comma Seperated Variable file that can be imported into a spreadsheet application such as Microsoft Excel. This export feature will export spreadsheets that are compatible with the importing features.
Custom Export
Custom Export will allow you to create a CSV export file with only the fields that you want in the spreadsheet shown. The field list will be shown along with check boxes that allow you select which columns you would like exported. It will act on the selections, so you can also export based on a search that you have just conducted (For a specific sport for example).
This export will build rows with "Friendly" names for Dropdows - the text in the columns will be exactly the same as the text displayed on the profile page for a given user. These spreadsheets cannot be re-imported into the system.
Add Selected users to group
This option will allow you to move users into specific groups in bulk. It will take searches and selections into account.
Quick Mail
This action will allow you to draft and send an e-blast to the selected participants. Upon selecting the participants, you should see a Subject and From field, and a text editor. Completing the form will allow you to quickly send batch emails to these users. Emails will be sent immediately.
